Sofè Studio established in 2020, is a Kuala Lumpur based, design-led architectural studio with a passion to provide clients with exceptional design and build services. We at Sofe Studio believes in ‘recycling’ old buildings. Renovations followed by reconversions which allows us to celebrate the historical heritage, while at the same time expressing the spirit of today. Whether the old fabric inspires the new to coexist in harmony or whether both are intentionally contrasted to create a more dynamic relation, we strive to simultaneously demonstrate both deep respect for the historic fabric and creative attitude in designing contemporary elements. A great analogy to describe the role of an interior architect is that they "blend art and science together", reimagining an interior space. An interior architect works with an existing structure and makes changes through considered design alterations. These changes can be anything from minor updates, such as the repositioning of doors or walls, to gutting the interior to a bare-bones space with the intention of a full redesign.
